OH HEY I just remembered that I updated my site and added two new videos like a week or two ago. But forgot to make a post about it here. OOPS. My bad.

Part 1
Part 2

Michael and Taylor will have already seen all the stuff in these videos, so this is for everyone else.

Game page with some additional information

I've made some major progress since posting this stuff, so there may be another update soon once I can cobble it together into a presentable format. oAo;

And on another note,

I'd like to ask, one more time

for anybody who can see this site:

to help me fetch some sprites from it. The site is having some host problems; a payment was late, so the site was offline for a while; now, however, the bill is paid, but only some people can see the site; everyone else sees the "domain has expired" placeholder page.

If you can see this site, please please PLEASE help me get some sprites from it. There are some sprites I need for the game that are only on that site; I won't be able to work on the game at all before long if I can't grab some NPC sprites I need.

If you're willing and able to help, please refer to my last post for how you can.

Augh. This is frustrating.

So I'm wary of doing this because then I'll have a ton of people to get back to and I'll have to reach to come up with stuff. But I figure, hell, I could use some activity in this journal, so comment away.

Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

So since Taylor is starting her Warcraft writing project, and I got inspired to create my own original character to go along with my WoW character... I wrote out a short scene involving him and Malygos, the fractured leader of the Blue Dragonflight. I figured I'd post it here. Is this what they call... drabble?

If you want more info on the character, you can read my comments in her entry for a basic overview of him. You can also check out The Blue Dragonflight and Malygos on WoWWiki.

Anyways, without further ado...

Here There Be Dragons )

So, hey.

Majutsu-Soft, Ltd. has been updated!

First off, I have the addition of the Spotlight page (explanation behind link). I actually added it quite a while ago; if I'd announced it earlier, I would've updated it again today, but since you're only now recieving notice, I'll leave it till the next update.

Second, I have an addition to the Notebook section, my fictional article/short story, Time Travel Theory 101. I explain a little more about what it is on the Notebook page. I really really really really really want reads/reviews of this, so pleeeeeaaaaasssseeeee read it? :3 If it gets confusing, you can read the Class Notes section at the bottom for the condensed/simplified version of the material being explained; I hope that helps.

EDIT: I also added a new background! :DDDDDDDDDDD (the old one kinda sucked on widescreen resolutions. :x)

My site, it lives again!

Sort of.

EDIT: I might as well transcribe the update here.

(6/8/07) Wow. Yeah, I pretty much suck ass at updating. I guess, like a lot of projects I undertake, this site only really recieves attention when the muse takes me. I do the same thing with my fanfiction, and my readers hate me for it. ><' But that's the only way I can put any feeling into it. So, yeah, I'm not going to continue pretending that this site or anything on it will be updated with anything resembling frequency. However, I don't believe it to be dead. It has some potential, and I hope to reach that potential someday. Till then, I'll continue with my sporadic updates.
The comic section might not recieve an update for a while. Since I moved to my Laptop, and have been as yet unable to install Photoshop onto it, the very thought of making a new strip is silly. FFUS may be dead as well, since it was a group effort, and I think I'm the only one that still has any interest in it. :\
Anyways, the real update is an expansion of the Notebook section. I have one more fanfic, plus new sections with Short Stories and Poetry, with a total of five new articles. Hope you enjoy them.

Wow. I have seriously been neglecting this thing, haven't I?

I don't have anything much to say at the moment. I'm at my dads for Thanksgiving, and I won't be back until friday. That means no MapleStory (for those of you to whom it applies) and maybe no MSNger, because the program's apparently being pissy right now. So, yeah.

However, I have been meaning to announce a major update to the Majutsusoft, Ltd. site. First, I finally fixed the Splash page, so there's a new graphic there instead of a red X. Second, I added an "Under Construction" message to all the currently unavailable pages, so you guys don't have to sift through a bunch of 404s. (Something I should have done from the start, I know, but better late than never. ><') Finally, I've added the Notebook section, the section where I'll put my random writings and such for the public to see. The first addition to that section is also my first published fanfiction; it's Maplestory, so if that's not in your interests, then tread with caution. ^^ That's, in case you'd forgotten/didn't know.

School is... fine. Not a whole lot to say on that front.

So, until the next time I drop in to update this thing? XD

Edit: Seems Messenger is working now. ^^

Whee, many things.

First: I made a modest title screen for Megaman Next, and I overhauled the stage select screen.

Clicky clicky yo. )

I've decided that I may make a sprite comic out of this after all, and make it a joint project with Taylor and Michael.

Second: I finally got to play my new NES, and it's fekking AWESOME. But I'm feeling the distinct sting of not having the option of using save states with Krion Conquest. ><
Apparently, this thing wasn't made by Nintendo. I'm not complaining about that, it's a spiffy little number, and it works fine. But it was originally designed for Japanese carts, which are considerably smaller than US carts, and it requires a rather large adaptor to use US carts. Not a friendly combination. The end result is that the cartridge sticks out further than the actual console is wide. With such a high center of gravity, and with the fact that it connects outside of the console with the adaptor, the cart is very sensitive to movement. A small nudge is enough to crash the game. The official term among my group of friends for crashing it in this way is "bleep". ^^;

Third: I got my classes. ^^ I have:

-semester 1-

Per. 1 - Adv. Japanese
Per. 2 - Physics
Per. 3 - AP Lit and Comp
Per. 4 - AP US Gov't/Politics

-semester 2-

Per. 1 - Adv. Japanese
Per. 2 - Psychology
Per. 3 - AP Lit and Comp
Per. 4 - AP US Gov't/Politics

whee, six out of my eight classes are full-year... which means that at the semester, I only change one class. x_x

Fourth: I went to Michael's Birthday party yesterday. There was much SSBM-ing and burger eating and NES Playing and Megaman discussions and cake and a whole bunch more ands than I care to go into detail about. T'was much fun. ^^

Fifth: I've started writing a Megaman/Megaman X story that's my interpretation of the connection between the original Megaman series and the X series. I'd post an excerpt, but I don't have enough written and this entry is getting long enough anyways.

Sixth, and finally: The "Anyone Out There" call from my last entry still stands. Comment!

Whooooo... There's not much to do. >_<

In light of my recently procured photobucket account, I've decided to put the first Megaman Next (fake) screenshot up for the Majutsukai-reading public (a small minority, I'm aware) to see.

Press Start )

I've started picking out a soundtrack, and designing stages (in my head at least), but this is not going to become an actual game. It's just a parody work.

Other than that, I got HP6 yesterday. ^_________^ It's taking Herculean effort not to just finish it off very quickly, because the story is very interesting. I loves it! :p

A bit has happened between the last update and this one. First, I installed XP on my new computer, but now it doesn't recognize my sound card. This wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't a 90% chance that I threw away the driver disk. >_< So, being very angry at me for screwing it up, my mom told me I couldn't use this computer. Which is why I haven't updated until now.

Second, my mp3 player/flash drive went boom. And I had all the chapters of the scriptures stored on it. Which makes it a very good thing that I posted the first three chapters on here; I only had to rewrite chapter four.

Speaking of the scriptures, it may be worth it to note here that I don't use my normal writing style when I write them; I try to emulate the style I see most myths written in, just to get the myth "feel" into it. I decided after finishing chapter three that I thouroughly hate that style, so for the sake of consistency, I'll finish chapter four in it, then change back when I write the Hero Epic and Armageddon story. The former I plan to write in my normal style, and the latter will be written as a poem.

Oh, and I did end up presenting that philosophy thing. Because not presenting it would have meant an automatic zero. x_x

I've actually managed to get used to this wierd schedule... That doesn't mean I'm happy about not being able to sleep in like the other half of the students, but hey, whatever.

I managed to screw up last week's note, though. Got three out of the four signatures I needed, then gave it to Jones-sensei, and never got it back. x_x So, this weekend was kind of boring. And I managed to get a truckload of homework, even despite having only half my classes. -_-

I'm thinking now that I want to post chapter three of the scriptures... but I don't really know if I'm done making all the alterations I want to. Ah, I suppose I'll post what I have.

Chapter 3: The Development of Religion )

Yeah, this one's really short compared to the other chapters.

Over the weekend, I had to do a homework assignment for Mythology on my philosophy concerning good and evil. It was, despite all expectations, kind of fun. >_< Never thought I'd be saying that about something we were assigned in Mythology. Anyways, I borrowed a little bit from what has now earned the name "Sartenian Philosophy", which is not intrinsically related to my myths, but rather it's philosophy I came up with while inventing the myths. I just may post a little exposé on it later on, cuz I'm actually kind of proud of it. ^^
...however, I'm supposed to present it in front of class on tuesday. Which I plan on refusing to do.

Okay, got the chapter now. This one explains not only the origin of Humans, but of reptiles, hell, sexism, stuff like that... it may be worth it to note that this does not condone sexism, just attempts to explain where it came from. The first chapter was two pages or less, but this one's three and a half. x_x

Chapter 2: The Creation of Humans )

I may post chapter 3 some time in the near future, too.

Gah. I'm not even taking the WASL, and it's still ruining my life. The rest of the juniors and seniors get to sleep in until school starts at 10:00 on testing days. But me? Dear me, no, that would be good. No, I don't have a means of getting to school at 10:00, because the busses still run normally. So, I have to hang out in the computer lab for the three hours that the sophomores are taking the test. And we can't get caught using the internet for anything non work-related. So what did I do today? I finished two chapters of the Sartenian Scriptures. That's a lot of fucking writing. And there's only 7 more days of that. joy.

I'll probably be posting chapter 2 of the Scriptures tomorrow. Otherwise, I don't really have anything else to say at the moment. Mostly because school lets out in less than a minute, and I don't have time to say anything else anyways.

Uh... Wow?

Amazingly enough, I have actually been able to breathe through my nose for most of the day today... I don't want to jinx it, but it actually seems like my cold will be gone in time for the SakuraCon field trip tomorrow. ^^

Yeah, today was a late start. Went to bed an hour later than usual, and got up two. Life... is good. ^^ So, naturally, here I am goofing off in second period, directly contrary to my screaming conscience. That means that I will probably be getting back to work soon.

By the way, I never mentioned that my creation myth was presented earlier this week. I use a passive verb form because, since I was unwilling to present it myself, Ms. King read it herself. Yeah, it may be difficult to understand if you're not a writer, but that kind of thing is hard for me... It was a piece that I came up with and wrote entirely as an out-of-school writing project, so a lot of the ideas in it are very personal... add to that the fact that it basically is, unintentionally, a bash on christian beliefs, when I'm 99.9% sure that a few of my Mythology classmates are christian, and I just couldn't do it. However, people seemed to like it, even though I have more than a few complaints about how she read it: She mispronounced the names of the two main deities, Sartenia and Arkelis, and she pretty much read it in the same almost-monotone that she reads the textbook myths in. And also, when she read the part about Arkelis "laugh[ing] nervously", she let out a very loud, not to mention decidedly un-nervous sounding, laugh, that induced me to wince a little. Such an act had no precedent or follow up, fortunately.

So, yeah. I've got some code documentation to be done by the end of the period, since I can't turn it in tomorrow while at SakuraCon. Out!

OK, here's the deal.
I've always had a fair amount of interest in mythology. That's why, since last semester, I've been working on my own set of myths based on my beliefs and values. In light of a recent assignment in Mythology class, which requires us to create our own creation myth, I decided to put some of the ideas in writing.
It's difficult to understand some of it without knowing the backstory. I've heard several theories being thrown around about how if there's a real god in heaven, he's evil. So, I thought to myself, "How would that work?", and Sartenian mythology was born. I eventually drifted away from that original idea, since one of the primary philosophies in Sartenian mythology is that there is no such thing as real evil. However, I've written enough in it that I've decided to share it with the world. so, submitted for your approval, I present to you:
Chapter One: The Creation of the Universe, and of Life )
As you can probably tell, I meant it also to be a unification and explanation of all the world's mythologies. You can expect a chapter on the development of religion later on. But the next chapter is the creation of humans, which I'm almost finished with.
