A very cheery Decemberween to everyone!
Dec. 26th, 2004 12:06 amWell, I'm starting to feel a lot better now that the Christmas festivities have drawn to a close. I decided to get Banjo-Tooie from an eBay auction, and the idea of a new computer to replace the one I'm using now (affectionately nicknamed "The Dinosaur"), which, to give you an idea of how old it is, still has a sticker bragging that it's Y2K compliant, is starting to grow on me.
The day started out with me getting up at 9:30 (my usual get-up time on days off) after spending the night at my dad's. Jamie, my stepsister, was off at a friend of hers', and Jim, my stepbrother, was visiting his dad in Canada; My OTHER stepsister, Jennifer, has come from Spokane to visit for the holidays. Now, we weren't opening Christmas presents straight away, because my stepmom was at work, and we were saving the obligatory present-opening until everyone was there. I starved for a little bit, took a shower, and we went to my uncle's house for breakfast, and gift-exchanging (there are at least 3 gift-exchange get-togethers every christmas in my family, between my Mom's side, my Dad's side, and my Stepmom's side). After that, we headed home, where my stepmom was waiting, and we started the present-opening. Everyone seemed to like the gifts I got them, so that's good. ^^ Then, after the all-important time set aside for playing with our new stuffs, we left went to have Christmas dinner at my Grandma's house. A dinner in which the main dish was turkey sandwiches. Yeah, we decided to keep it simple this year. Then, I was dropped back off at my Mom's, and here I am, several hours later, writing this entry.
Now, on to the present report, eh?
1) Final Fantasy Chronicles
2) Final Fantasy 10 (Used, badly scratched -- time to start Skip-Doctoring :p)
3) Shrek 2 on DVD
4) Guiness Records 2005 (A gift I ask for, and subsequently get, every year)
5) A Duct-Tape Wallet (Re-gifting, anyone?)
6) A snow-sled (Now the only missing component is the snow >_<)
7) $5 (Now, does my Aunt know me or what? XD)
Those were the highlights, at least... There were slightly too many to remember. I also procured 5 new Yu-Gi-Oh cards from son of a cousin (what relation does that make him? Second cousin? O.o) who had recieved a deck or two for christmas that morning. That means I got: Monster Reborn, De-Spell, Change of Heart, Shadow Spell, and Tribute to the Doomed. ^^
So, that's all. At least, that's all that I can think of at the moment, until the very second I submit this entry and remember an important detail that I left out. Oh, well.
